DECISIONS... DECISIONS...

Like the little munchkin LezAnn said... I'm back!! and responsibilities have piled in like a mofo... actually to be honest, I'm glad to be back... somehow I feel like my creative flow is coming back, slowly but surely. Stand up is becoming a demand now in the industry, so hopefully I make a name there, then Jo Mama will prosper, and if Jo Mama prospers, I can capitalize on my stand up videos.
You know when you're excited to get something going and a whole bunch of shit just piles on... Obviously it's great for us, but then again, clients work on deadlines, we work... sometimes... no lah, we work at our pace that sometimes pushes us to do last minute staying up all nite and no shower shit.
A lot of corporate work... but this year I'm trying to skewer Jo Mama to start progressing into our own series... whether web or tv or feature film. It's going to be drastic because we need money to do up our new office. We need money to sustain a living. Rel has a girlfriend, LezAnn has shoe fetishes, Hadi wants to get married, Moe IS getting married, Efi wants to be a millionaire, and I have bitches to please... HOW? Looks like we do the time... in order to shoot what we want to shoot...
Ramblings and thoughts... by the way if you guys have any material for my stand up... anything at all please do help... I'm tired of doing my old bits, and I'm sure you're tired of hearing it...
Peace biaaaatches

JO MAMA BOYS and GIRL have moved!!

Hey guys and girls!!

Yes, take a look at our title.. yes! we have moved!! We have moved to a wonderful house around Jalan Gasing area... school's in so traffic can be quite a hassle but no fear, JMP is near.

The place is still in progress and Rel (uh) will not allow pictures on the blog until we have finished tidying and beautifying this gigantic double storey beauty!

Good news to us JMP peeps, Zak a.k.a Papi Zak a.k.a Adorablez is back with us! He will rock you and he will make you laugh! Great to have you back with JMP, Zaky! :)

March is coming up and we have so much to do...and so little time. On another note, Rel a.k.a Fairil Desa a.k.a Big Bully is in an upcoming TV series called Projek Pop which will be airing in March. Catch it if you can! Fantastic news! :)

And...as for me.. Porn Masala, an indie short film that I'm starring in has premiered in New York at the International Gotham Film Festival and won the Audience Choice Award! Porn Masala also premiered in London and L.A and has received fabulous reviews! :) Hopefully, more to come ~

2012 is looking less dodgy than 2011 and we wish all JMP friends the very best in everything! All the love, joy and good fortune to come your way this 2012.. xoxo

ps. we have a pet lizard in the house, a huge water tank in the attic (dark water anyone?) and the chair moved on it's own last night. talk about spooooky.

SOMETHING TO KEEP THE FUNNIES ALIVE AROUND JO MAMA! with love, from us. <3

We know, we know.. it has been AGES since we've updated our Jo Mama Blog! It has been a very tough few weeks.... Lez Ann, (that's me!) has been rather lazy...not coming in for work due to ............. some unforeseen circumstances but I'M BACK and is ever so ready for some tough Jo Mama work.

Alrighty, back to work and before the day ends.. i'll leave y'all a very nice short and sweet vblog.
Till then, have a great week ahead and party hard during the weekend!

ps. IF anyone of you would like to lend a hand to the Kechara Soup Kitchen next Saturday, PM one of us at Jo Mama's! We'll be glad to give you the details :)

Don't be afraid of the dark... JMP review

"Don't be afraid of the dark" my parents used to say. Don't parents realize that as a child, our imagination just runs out of this world? I used to think every little doorway, hole in the floor, in the ceiling or whatever, was a gateway for ghosts and creatures of all sorts. I would cover them up just to make myself feel better. Now well, i make sure i scare other people. So anyway, back to the reason why i'm writing this. Last night i went to watch this movie because well, i love horror movies, regardless if they are A grade, or B grade movies. I just watch them anyway.

This movie is a remake of the 1973 classic and i have to say its not half bad. Its also not half good but hey, i went in with no expectations. The majestic old skool house, the feel of the olden days within the house does bring out the scary mood in the movie. Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce, and Bailey Madison did a great job in the acting department, but the plot could've been improved a whole lot more. I gotta say though, Bailey Madison's character had alot of balls in the beginning for wanting to be friends with these little fairies. Of course, she made the mistake of interacting with them and all went downhill for her after that.

One thing that really bothered me though was the fact that these little "Fairies" were afraid of the light. So why didn't they (the characters) just grab more flashlights? *Spoiler Alert* and towards the end, why did they just leave the house to let the next poor hapless idiot go through the same torment they went through? Couldn't they just like, throw fire down that little hole and kill those little bastards? I would've. I mean, they just left the house. They did nothing. I know its just a movie, but come on! Fight! All you gotta do is get floodlights in the basement and flush those bastards out. Even though i'm complainin', i still found the movie to be rather entertaining at times. So all is not lost for me.

Anyway, for those who are over critical with movies and pick at every little single detail, don't watch this. You'll think its sh*t. For those that just wanna enjoy a little scare and are curious to see what these little creatures look like, go for it. This movie was probably worth RM6 of the RM11 I paid for it. Like i said, all is not lost. Just Rm5.
